Wolf Spider with Spiderlings

So I hit the jackpot the other day and had one of my most enjoyable shoots in a long time.  As I was mowing, this Wolf Spider came running out of a large cocoon like sack with babies attached all over it.

Most of the closeups are focus stacked with 2 images.  It was a little different this time....as the spiderlings were constantly moving, I had to manually focus stack these.  I took the shot that had the spiderling in focus as my main image, then I cropped the mommy out of the second photo (where she was in focus) and manually cut, pasted, and blended it into the first photo.  Took some work, but the results came out pretty nice I thought.

...and even closer

.....all of the spiderlings

Worth noting....this was hands down the largest spider I have come accross.  This made the Trapdoor spider look small.  Easily over 2" legspan....maybe 2 1/2".
